This is actually my second review of Ray Catena Lexus of Monmouth, and once again they earned every one of the five stars. While I was on a cruise vacation in Europe, my daughter was driving my Lexus when she hit a piece of road debris that completely destroyed one of the tires. When she called me, understandably upset and not knowing what to do, I told her not to worry and have the vehicle towed directly to Ray Catena Lexus of Monmouth. Being thousands of miles away in the middle of the Mediterranean, I contacted Alex, the salesperson who sold me the vehicle. I asked him to be my eyes and advocate with the service department while I was out of the country. Alex immediately stepped up and helped coordinate everything. Within a couple of hours, I received a full update. The tire would be replaced, and the price was shockingly reasonable. Honestly, I don’t think I could have done any better at a discount tire store. The entire process was handled quickly, professionally, and without any surprises. When I returned from vacation, the car was ready, washed, spotless, and waiting for me. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, courteous, and professional. I even managed to enjoy a bagel while I was there. What makes this story even more remarkable—and honestly, almost unbelievable—is that at exactly the same time, my wife’s Lexus, which had been sitting in long-term airport parking during our trip, came back with a completely dead battery. Whether something was accidentally left on or the vehicle was otherwise mishandled while in storage, I don’t know for certain, but the battery was completely drained when we got it back. The service department checked everything, determined the battery needed replacement, and handled it under warranty at no charge. No arguments, no surprises, and no attempt to sell me something I didn’t need. They simply took care of the problem quickly and professionally. The service advisor couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Throughout both situations, I felt like I had people looking out for my interests rather than simply processing another repair order. Buying a luxury car is easy. Taking care of customers after the sale is where a dealership proves its value. Ray Catena Lexus of Monmouth continues to exceed my expectations. I couldn’t be happier that I chose this dealership. Fair pricing, honest people, excellent service, and genuine concern for their customers. Exceptional and professional.

I bought a car 8 days ago from Lexus of Monmouth. My sales man took me from just looking to closing the deal. Every person I interacted with starting with the receptionists to Brandon, to the guy who processed me to the guy who showed me all the electronics were superb. They never tried to oversell and left me feeling great about my experience! I would say that I would use them again to purchase, but knowing the reliability of a Lexus vehicle, I may not ever need to replace this one. Thanks for amazing service

Grant Gretsky is hands down the best service advisor I’ve ever worked with. After a nightmare experience at a different Lexus dealership—where I was charged over $8,000 for a transmission replacement that didn't even fix the issue—I brought my Lexus 450h here. The 'Check Hybrid System' light had returned within just weeks of that expensive repair. Grant was incredibly professional and thorough. He actually listened to the car's history and helped me find the true root cause of the problem: the AC compressor. If you want a service advisor who is knowledgeable, honest, and actually cares about the customer, go see Grant. He is the best of the best!

After having an extremely negative experience with Lexus of Edison and Lexus of Bridgewater (same owners), it was a breath of fresh air to deal with Ray Catena's Lexus of Monmouth on the purchase of my new car. Lea was a consummate sales professional throughout the process and Chad, one of the sales managers, was extremely helpful as well. Based on my experience, I would recommend the dealership to anyone in the market for a Lexus.

LONG STORY: I was in the market for a new car, did a bunch of research and decided on an RC. I really wanted specific packages/accessories so I wanted to do a custom order. The two dealers I spoke to in my local area weren't the slightest bit interested in my custom order so I resulted to just finding whatever was in stock in the Eastern US and matching the specs as close as possible. Ray Catena of Monmouth had one in stock that was close enough but not quite what I wanted but I reached out anyway about it. Geoff was the one who reached back out to me and told me to let him know if I had any questions. I figured i'd just ask if they were willing to do a custom order out of curiousity and to my surprise they agreed! After a long 5 month process of waiting and figuring out logistics, my girlfriend and I made the long drive from Virginia to New Jersey to pick up the car and I absolutely LOVE IT. Geoff even went out of his way to come in on his day off because we were unable to make the trip when he would be in office. Thank you Geoff for all of the help throughout the entire process. And a thanks to the rest of the staff as well for the great experience of buying my first vehicle. Funny little tidbit, we got an RC from RC(Ray Catena) for RC(me, my initials).

It was time to return my leased car for a new one, and although I had a very positive with Ray Catena, my former contact there with whom I had developed a very cordial relationship had since moved on to perpetual warm and sunny climes. I was truly disappointed and a bit apprehensive, but those feelings quickly dissipated when I had the good fortune to meet Tony Trocchia. Tony, affable, charming, a gentleman as well as a gentle man. Smiling, he quietly listened to me yap yap on and on about the car I wanted. I was completely disarmed and put at ease as he professionally steered to me EXACTLY what I wanted. To say I'm pleased is an under statement. He did not have the car in stock but promised he'd procure it in a few days; he did. It is said that very often we sometimes forget what is said and done to us; what we never forget is how people make you feel. I could've taken possession of the vehicle earlier than I did, but on Tony's sound advice I waited, as he suggested, until the recent snow storm had passed. How thoughtful is that. He is an angel of kindness and goodness and caring, and I certainly appreciate it. Care compounds!!! I can't forget other members of the team. This was the best car buying experience I have ever encountered. From the initial contact with the sales consultant to the purchase of the vehicle, everyone provided outstanding service.

Dropped my car off at the service center today to get an oil change after making an appointment and also taking off work. Two hours later they came up and said sorry we forgot about your car and haven’t touched it yet. Had to go. Partially my fault for not going up to anyone after an hour to ask what was going on. Annoyed.
